Dividend income and portfolio projection
Income is shown after the selected tax and reinvestment settings.
Plan dividend income with realistic assumptions
Use this dividend calculator to project income from your shares and test the levers that matter: dividend growth, partial dividend reinvestment, recurring investments, taxes, payment frequency and share-price changes. The estimate is calculated at each chosen dividend payment period, so quarterly and monthly reinvestment can be compared more meaningfully.
The projected income is not a forecast. A company can reduce, suspend or eliminate dividends, and actual tax treatment, market price and reinvestment execution vary by account and location.
How after-tax DRIP works
Each payment is first reduced by the tax rate you enter. You can then reinvest all, some or none of the remaining cash. Reinvested cash purchases fractional shares at the modelled share price, while the balance is reported as spendable income. Recurring investments purchase further shares across the year.
Yield on cost compares the final year’s gross dividend income with your original holding value. It can be useful for tracking your own income growth, but it is not the return a new buyer would receive at today’s price.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the calculator account for dividend payment frequency?
Yes. Choose annual, semi-annual, quarterly or monthly payments. The model applies dividend and price growth at each payment period.
What does partial DRIP mean?
It lets you reinvest a selected percentage of after-tax dividends and keep the rest as spendable cash.
Are taxes exact?
No. The entered rate is a planning assumption; real dividend tax depends on your country, account type and circumstances.
Are dividends guaranteed?
No. Companies may reduce, suspend or cancel a dividend at any time.
